Advisory Board
Scott has been in the medical field for over 20 years, and specializing in wound care and hyperbaric medicine for the past 8 years. He has a Bachelors Degree in Sports Medicine and Healthcare Administration, is a certified Hyperbaric Technologist, Certified Wound and Hyperbaric Specialist, and serves as a committee member of the ACHM.
He has opened and developed several wound care and hyperbaric centers over the country, and presently serves as the program director for Citrus Memorial Health System in Florida. He has authored and co-authored several articles and a book chapter on the business of wound care. He is heavily involved in educating clinicians and management on the economics of wound care; CMS guidelines for billing, coding, and documentation; and revenue cycle management.
With over 25 years of clinical and administrative experience, Dr. Bauer has acquired the necessary skills needed to navigate the consultation arena. He has served as consultant for information technology services to hospitals and physician practices, has been a consultant and instructor in the Michigan Department of Community Health, and has been a Clinical Professor and Instructor at the New England Medical Center, Wayne State University, University of Michigan and Crittenton Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Bauer is an active member of the American Medical Informatics Association(AMIA), Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems(AMDIS) and the Health Information and Management Systems Society(HIMSS). He has also participated in the chief medical information officer(CMIO) Boot Camp program developed by AMIA. In addition, Dr. Bauer is a practicing emergency physician and is currently the Chief of the department of emergency medicine at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center.
With 29 years of clinical experience, Jane is a seasoned Registered Nurse. She still works full time clinically, while serving as a consultant to hospitals and wound care product manufacturers.
At the beginning of her career, Jane served as a nurse manager on a major surgical unit. For the past 20 years she has been specializing exclusively on wound care, and has been instrumental in the development of 2 outpatient wound centers.
She lectures nationally to nurses and physicians, and has published in the quarterly magazine Wound Care Hyperbaric Medicine. Jane is currently working on her second Masters Degree.
Dr. Duncan is a Board Certified, residency trained Podiatric Surgeon, and is a Certified Wound Specialist. His advanced training and clinical expertise, and his need as a busy practitioner in Podiatry and Wound Care to function at peak productivity, bring great value to the patient-centered, bedside approach of Heal Metrics
Dr. Duncan is has published articles on podiatric surgery, wound care and limb salvage, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Duncan is a Board Certified, residency trained Podiatric Surgeon, and is a Certified Wound Specialist. Kristie earned her Masters degree of Science from the University of Michigan. She began her clinical career in Family Practice and Emergency Medicine. Over the past two years she has been working full time at the McLaren Regional Medical Center Specialty Clinic in Wound Care and Bariatric Surgery.
Dr Medley is a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon. He earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pamona, California, and presently is practicing at Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan.
He is the Medical Director of the Garden City Hospital Wound Management and Hyperbaric Center in Westland, Michigan.
Borrowing from Dr. Medley’s expertise and focus on limb salvage, Heal Metrics offers clinical decision support, helping the clinician choose the advanced therapy that best suits the patient’s unique needs.
Dr. Pearl is our CEO at Heal Metrics. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, and is a Certified Wound Specialist through the American Board of Wound Management.
He has been a Clinical Professor at the Wayne State University School of Medicine, and he served as the President of Rochester Emergency Group, PC, and as the Medical Director of the ER at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center for ten years. During his tenure at Crittenton, Dr Pearl assumed leadership roles in adoption of Electronic Health Records, Computerized Physician Order Entry, and the implementation of Lean/Six Sigma workshops and process development.
Dr. Pearl lectures nationally. He has published several wound care and HBO related articles, and is on the Editorial Review Board of The Journal of Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine. He is presently the Medical Director of the McLaren Regional Medical Center Wound Care Program in Clarkston, Michigan, and has a very busy clinical practice at the Garden City Hospital Wound Management and Hyperbaric Center in Westland, Michigan
